An agreement has been signed between ALVAR ehf. and PACFAB (Pacific Northwest Metal Fabricators) to boost ALVAR’s expansion through the United States, Canada, and the Pacific. Pacific Northwest Metal Fabricators is a Seattle based manufacturing company with extensive experience in the design, fabrication, and installation of marine equipment. Thanks to its 13.000 square feet facility, PACFAB has become a relevant player around the fishing industry in the north-western region.
ALVAR has an important presence in Iceland, Greenland, and northern Europe, but is aiming to extend its operations to new shores, such as the United Kingdom, North America or Russia. Guðmundur Sigþórsson, CEO of ALVAR, believes that this agreement could be an important step for ALVAR’s international expansion.
